12/30/2010 Somalia (OneNewsNow)-Southern Somalia’s largest and most comprehensive Christian library has been destroyed by Islamic militants who continue to threaten and persecute believers, so one organization is encouraging Americans to take prayerful action.

“The militants destroyed the library and brought Bibles, Christian books, audio and video materials to the city center and burned them after the Muslim noon prayer,” reports Jonathan Rocha of International Christian Concern (ICC). “We have the information that the guardian of the library, who is a Christian man, fled the area hours after the library was found by the Islamists” because Christian converts from Islam face a likely death sentence. He has not surfaced since.
