The Gordon College Chapel was governed by Evacuee Property after independence of Pakistan in 1947, and same was allocated to Christians for worship.

The Gordon College in heart of Rawalpindi city was in eye of Muslim land grabbers after formation of Pakistan and then after nationalization of Christian schools and colleges by Pakistan Peoples Party PPP leader Zulifiqar Bhutto in 1971.
