Hindu radicals disrupt prayer service, the police arrest the pastors instead of the radical Hindus.

08/17/2010 India (CathNewsIndia)-Police in Karnataka detained two Protestant ministers and 10 other Christians after some Hindu radicals disrupted a prayer meeting on Aug. 15 in Mandya district.

The Global Council of Indian Christians said the two ministers belonged to the Campus Crusade for Christ and the ministers spent Independence Day in prison.

The Christians were conducting a prayer service on the national holiday, when some 30 radical Hindus barged into the room shouting slogans.

Karnataka state witnessed more than 200 attacks on Christians ever since the pro-Hindu BJP came to power in 2008.
