Iraqi Christian kidnapped as intimidation campaign continues

The abduction and persecution of Christians continues in Iraq . Thousands of Iraqi Christians left their homes following violence that target them.

07/30/2010 Iraq (Catholic Culture)-An Iraqi Christian businessman was abducted outside his office in Kirkuk on July 29, in the latest of a series of targeted attacks on the country’s religious minority.

Yonan Daniel Mammo, a Chaldean Catholic, was seized by a group of armed men. His family had not yet heard from his abductors. Kirkuk ’s Chaldean Archbishop Louis Sako has appealed to local civic leaders for help in securing his release.
