Lar Decries Discrimination against Christians by Northern Govs

A Christian politician spoke against the persecution of Christians in northern Nigeria by Muslim government officials.

10/23/2009 Nigeria (Vanguard)-Pioneer National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Solomon Lar, has lamented the discrimination against Christians by some northern governors, saying the North will break up if the trend continues.
Lar specifically said apart from Plateau, Nasarawa, Benue , Niger , Kwara, Taraba and Gombe states the remaining 12 northern states discriminate against Christians to the extent that they are denied lands to build their churches.
“He ensured that the literacy level improved. He also encouraged the education of women, boys and girls at the same time,” he said.
