Youths in Kano allege plot to demolish churches

According to the statements by youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, the officials of Kano State are planning on demolishing churches in the State.

February 29,2008 Nigeria (Odili)-Members of the youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) yesterday rose from an emergency meeting accusing Governor Ibrahim Shekarau-led administration of planning to demolish churches in the state.
But in a swift reaction, the state government flatly denied the charge, saying those behind such claims are out to stir up unnecessary trouble in the state by feeding the wider Christian public with mischievous tales.
