Local Woman Kidnapped In Afghanistan
ICC Note: Though it does not say directly that this woman was kidnapped for her faith, she will certainly be told to abandon her faith in Christ by her Muslim kidnappers, and desperately needs our prayers.
1/29/08 Afghanistan (8News/WRIC) – An international story hits home for the congregation of Atlee Community Church as the search continues for former Richmond resident Cyd Mizell
Mizell was kidnapped while doing humanitarian work in Afghanistan. Now, Mizell’s church in Hanover is praying for her and her driver’s safe return.

Mizell was snatched as she left her home on Saturday. Afghani police were searching cars in and out of the area on Sunday but no one has taken responsibility for the kidnapping yet.
The Atlee Community Church congregation had a special prayer for Mizell and her driver during Sunday’s service.
