Monday, 18th June 2007 (Religious Intelligence)-ISLAMIC extremists have been accused of murder attempts against Christian evangelists in Ethiopia .
According to reports today, one evangelist claimed that an attempt had been made to poison his children, while another claimed a 500-strong mob tried to murder him after a substantial reward was offered on his life.

Recently a Christian gathering was bombed, killing two worshippers, while an earlier outbreak of violence left 19 people dead, five churches razed and 600 houses destroyed.
One man quoted by Release said he had been insulted, beaten, arrested twice and pelted with stones. They even tried to contaminate my children with a chemical called malatine — to kill them, he said. My family is suffering with me.
Another man, aged 21, said he had been the focus of an attack by a mob of 500 militants after a Muslim leader issued a death sentence against him.
They declared a Jihad — a war — on me, and whoever kills me will receive 80,000 Ethiopian birr. The price on his head amounted to more than £4,500 — in a land where the Gross National Income per capita is less than £90.
Although he escaped, he says the death sentence still stands. And while his house and belongings have been destroyed, he is showing defiance against the militants: I dont have any fear, he explained
