Villagers Pelt Stones Against Conversion

4/11/07 India (Persecution Update India) Hubli: Residents of Revadihal village near here reportedly attacked Christian community members on Monday night alleging that they were converting Hindus into Christianity.
According to police eight members of Bhairidevarkopp – a-based COM orphanage – went to Revadihal for holding a prayer meeting in the residence of a person named Devanam kale. As they entered the village, some villagers allegedly pelted stones on the vehicle of the Christian members and thrashed a person, police stated.
As police received the information, they rushed to village and an adequate security arrangement was made to contain any untoward incident. A complaint was lodged at Hubli rural police station and investigation was on.
