A Missionary Beaten up in Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh

3/25/07 India (Persecution Update India ) Β– Pastor Raju Β– a missionary in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh Β– was beaten up by Hindu fanatics on February 25, 2007. Police have refused to file First Information Report (FIR.)

Hindu fanatics entered his house forcefully along with local Media personnel and took photographs of his house where he used to conduct prayer meeting along with other fellow Christians.

They forced him to local police station and report his Christian activities. Latter returning back to his home, the mob attacked Pr. Raju. He was brutally beaten up and suffered several injuries.

On following day, he went to lodge complain in Joginder Nagar police station, but police official refused to register FIR. Later on the day, Raju went to District Headquarter of Mandi and submitted the written complain to take action against defaulters.
