North Korean martyr prompts change from Bible translation group.

1/11/07 North Korea (MNN)The recent execution of a North Korean Christian is having a profound impact on the World Bible Translation Center.

Reports of swift executions continue trickling out of the country. Open Doors has Those who possess or distribute the Bible are subject to a minimum sentence of 13 years and a maximum sentence of death.

Because the man was caught with two of their Korean New Testaments in his possession, the government likely knows what they look like. According to early reports, the texts, which were bound in a simple one-color cover, became recognizable to North Korean authorities.
