ICC note– Bhutan is one of the countries that have registered growing concerns over Christian persecution. Christians are a minority and the constitutional monarchy curbs their freedom to worship to a large extent.
Bhutanese Christians sentenced to jail
(VOM) 6/12/2006- Two Christians Dhunigana and John Dai, who were arrested on January 8, 2006, in the Buddhist kingdom of Bhutan have been sentenced to long jail terms because of their Christian witness.
