(BosNewsLife) – Hungarian Christians from all denominations have launched Hungary ‘s first National Revival Prayer Movement and pray for “repentance of the government” to transform the ex-Communist nation for Christ, a main organizer confirmed Sunday, June 19. Organizer Tamas S. Kiss said over 1,000 Christian believers, including church leaders and at least one politician, made the decision Saturday during a massive “historic” meeting in Budapest ‘s main indoor sports hall. Gospel groups singing “revival” songs that could be heard from far away accompanied the event. “Already for two years Christians were praying for this to happen, for instance during weekly prayer sessions in parliament. Now we are collecting prayer worriers from all churches, such as Catholics as well as people from different Protestant denominations, including Baptists,” Kiss told BosNewsLife.

Here's what one reader shared:
"The Last Words of the Martyrs tell the courageous stories of people who are committed and dependent on our Lord in ways few in the West have ever been. Even more importantly for us in the church, to "translate" what occurred into lessons for us to better understand, and then apply in our walk with the Lord. One lesson is that God uses what is clearly evil, and builds His Church in persecuted areas of the world. Many in the West have become too comfortable in our ease, busyness, and distractions to even consider getting out of our comfort zone to be salt and light for Jesus, to our dark and darkening culture, to reach out to people that God loves to be reconciled to."
