(ICC) – On May 16, the home of a pastor in Yakala was stormed by a mob of about 50 people led by a Buddhist monk. They demanded that the pastor should stop conducting worship services in the Church and threatened him. Christian literature and tracts that were in the house were confiscated & taken. Another pastor in Mahawewa was building his personal residence when rumors started to circulate that he was building a church. His home was surrounded by a mob of 400 people on the 17th. Only minor damage was done to his property. He was warned not to approach the police.
