(Barnabas Fund) Two members of an Easter celebration organizing committee were rounded up by police and held for questioning as authorities in Kathmandu cracked down on Christians celebrating Easter. Nearly 16,000 Christians from about 200 churches were due to take part in the celebration. The chief district officer had initially permitted the event, but it was cancelled under a government ban of opposition party rallies, a ban that was not supposed to include religious events.
