International Christian Concern Mourns Loss of Their Leader

On August 27, 2002 the founder and president of International Christian Concern (ICC), Rev. Steven Snyder passed away at the age of 54 due to complications from an infection.

The sudden death of Rev. Snyder comes as a shock to his family, friends, and Christians around the world. Rev. Snyder was admitted to the hospital around 3:30pm on Monday (August 26, 2002) and went to be with the Lord at 7:30 pm Tuesday August 27, 2002.

Rev. Snyder devoted his life to serving Christians around the world who are persecuted for their faith. Rev. Snyder was tireless in his efforts, working to bring encouragement, practical assistance, spiritual help, and guidance to the suffering church.

Rev. Snyder was well known and highly respected by government officials, members of Congress, Senators, and church leaders around the world. The legacy he leaves behind is one of love, total devotion to God and his family, compassion for the suffering, effectiveness in his life’s work and uncompromised integrity. His efforts have reached many corners of the globe. He is loved by countless thousands in other countries he has helped. Yesterday, the world lost a true hero! He will be missed by all.

The chairman of the board of ICC has appointed Jim Schnabel as acting president of ICC.

Visitation is Friday August 30, 2002, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Collins Funeral Home at 500 University Blvd. West in Silver Spring, MD.
