Da Nang bishop says no to violence and lies about Con Dau Catholics

According to a Vietnamese party newspaper, the bishop backs the crackdown against Catholics. Concerns are mounting that another wave of repression against the population is going to take place after local residents lost their homes and the church cemetery to a government land grab.

12 months for two of the accused, 9 for the other four. The trial lasted only one day and the defendants had no defense because, as a source of the People's Court explained, the decision had already been decided and approved by local authorities and the Communist Party.
