Chinese House Church Alliance Issues Declaration on Behalf of Autumn Rain Church

The Chinese Christian House Church Alliance has issued a formal declaration in defense of the Autumn Rain church that was shut down by China's Bureau of Civil Affairs on June 21.

6/29/09 China (ChinaAid) On June 26, the Chinese House Church Alliance, a house church network of more than 250,000 members, issued a declaration on behalf of Autumn Rain Church, denouncing the government's abolishment of the church and calling on the Body of Christ, worldwide, to pray. On June 21, Qingyang District Bureau of Civil Affairs issued a “Decision on Administrative Penalty” pursuant to Article 35 of the State Council’s “Management Measures in the Registration of Social Organizations” which abolished Autumn Rain Church and confiscated its “illegal properties” on the grounds that it is an “unregistered social organization.”

Call the following government authorities on behalf of Autumn Rain Church and ask that authorities end their harassment of the Christians and allow the church to meet freely.
