ICC is looking for a hardworking, self starting individual who wants to
be involved in serving the persecuted Church in the Washington
DC area as well as around the world.
This is a full-time paid position with health benefits, and a
generous leave policy.
We are
looking for a mature and experienced (2 yrs. minimum)
development and communications officer.
Salary is $35,000 to $60,000 depending on history and experience.
Candidate must have a strong Christian witness and history.
College degree is preferred but by no means mandatory.

Description:
Development & Communication Officer
International Christian Concern is a Washington DC area non
profit (501 c 3) devoted to providing assistance, advocacy, and
awareness for the worldwide persecuted Christian Church.
The Development & Communication Officer will be a key member of
ICC’s team working closely with the President in gaining greater
awareness and funding for our work of supporting the persecuted
Church.
Primary Areas of Responsibility:
Development Officer
-
Development and implementation of overall and individualized
donor cultivation and management strategies
-
Grants:
report and letter of interest writing & assembly as well as
Grants management
-
Manage and build ICC’s monthly donor program
-
Production of monthly reports on individual donor revenue
vs. budget
projections
-
Initiate, develop, and manage overseas trips for donors.
Communications Officer
-
Manage all Donor communications (ICC newsletter, web, email)
-
Manage Church Communication
-
Develop yearly pastor’s gathering
-
Maintain Charity Records/Relationships
Secondary Responsibility
Regional Manager for South Asia
-
Organize
and lead fact-finding/mission trips to areas of the world
experiencing persecution and reporting findings
-
Initiate/manage projects to assist the persecuted Church (ie
pastor support, underground pastor training, etc)
-
Increase awareness of persecution via press releases, media
interviews, and the daily posting of news
-
Work with Advocacy Dir. to disseminate information on
international persecution to Senators and Congressional
Reps., State Dept., and Whitehouse officials.
Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal communication and excellent project
management skills
• Ability to meet submission deadlines and follow guidelines
• Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to
write persuasively
• Interest in advocating ICC’s mission, goals, and work
• Superb attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong computer skills
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum three years experience with a positive track record in
donor development.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary commensurate with experience ranging from $40,000 to
$50,000.
Benefits include health, dental, and generous leave time.
This is a full-time position in ICC’s Silver Spring office.
ICC
has a strong preference for people with a strong Christian
witness and history.
