VolunteerEvery year, 200 million Christians face persecution, yet only a fraction of their stories are reported and fewer reach the ears of the Church. With such an overwhelming number, we need volunteers to assist us in each of our goals to make a difference in the lives of our suffering brothers and sisters in Christ. No matter where you are in life, if you have a heart to serve the persecuted Church, we can find a place for you! Click here to fill out our volunteer application! We are excited that God has placed it on your heart to serve in this important ministry! Take a moment to review our volunteer teams:
Advocacy Team: Fighting the Fight for Justice Your efforts will raise awareness of Christian persecution and help mobilize others to actively engage with the U.S. and foreign governments in order to effect change. You will have the opportunity to significantly impact how much people engage in issues of human rights, religious freedom, and justice through campaigning for legal assistance for the persecuted. As part of our Advocacy Team, you assist with ICC’s petition and advocacy efforts so that the U.S. and foreign governments become aware of occurrences of persecution, are held accountable to their actions and commitments, and are pressured to actively protect vulnerable Christian communities.
Assistance Team: The Hands and Feet of the Church Your efforts will directly affect the assistance that ICC is able to provide to recently-attacked individuals, families, or communities, giving them hope to rebuild from the ruins. You will have the opportunity to increase the funding available to provide Bibles in local dialects; broadcast the Gospel via TV, Internet, and radio; and assist all persecuted Christians, whether underground pastors, suffering wives and children, orphans, or abused and trafficked young women. You will also have the opportunity to move the global Church to action, strengthening the “bridge” that is ICC between the free Church and the persecuted Church, and therefore uniting the body of Christ worldwide.
Awareness Team: A Voice for the Voiceless Your efforts will directly affect the overall awareness of the world regarding the persecuted Church. Many people are completely unaware of the injustice of Christian persecution happening all around them. Acting as a voice for the voiceless, you will raise awareness of the persecuted Church both in the western world and internationally through educating others on the issues and injustices of persecution. Your efforts will move people to action for the sake of Christ and let the persecuted know they are not alone.
Prayer Team: Interceding for the Persecuted Did you know that the number one thing persecuted Christians ask for is prayer? It is their greatest request, ranking higher than money, housing, and even justice. As a prayer warrior, you seek to pray for the needs of the persecuted Church in your own times of supplication, but also work to mobilize other believers to actively pray against persecution and for its victims worldwide.
Office Team: Lightening the Load ICC’s Administrative and Communication teams have a constant flow of work to accomplish, and much of the time they are overloaded with tasks. Your job will directly impact the productivity and efficiency of not only our Admin but also our Communication department. As you lift the weight off of their shoulders, you will accomplish much for the persecuted while assisting several departments with their work, thus giving them more time and increasing their productivity.
Special Projects Team You may not be able to be a consistent volunteer for ICC, but God has still placed the persecuted Church on your heart. On this team, you can help out for one project, one summer, or whenever you have the time. You can choose to help out with advocacy, assistance, awareness, prayer, or office tasks. You may not be able to be a continuing volunteer at ICC, but God can still use you to assist persecuted Christians worldwide in a powerful way. |
ICC is constantly monitoring the state of Christian persecution in countries around the world and looking for ways that we can act as bridge between our supporters and the persecuted church. Beyond the projects you see above, we are working in many other areas to provide practical assistance to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
