Churches

There are 200 million Christians suffering for their faith every day, from Cuba to North Africa to the Muslim Middle East, India and the rest of South Asia, North Korea, China, Vietnam, and Indonesia, to name a few. Yet they remain largely forgotten by the church in the West. Jesus commanded us to love each other, and the Christians overseas are just as much our brothers and sisters as the members of our own congregations. ICC offers the following resources for pastors and churches to learn about persecution so they can educate and move their congregations to pray for and care for their persecuted brothers and sisters.

International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted

This year, we’re providing a free PDF prayer bulletin that you can use to mobilize your church to pray for the persecuted.

Print Resources

Free Bi-Monthly Newsletter. ICC’s monthly newsletter Concern is 6-8 pages long, full color, glossy paper and brings you everything from in-depth analysis, stories and news of believers who sacrifice all to follow the Lord to how to fight persecution and pray for the persecuted. Click Here to Sign Up

Resource Kit. Our Resource Kit (CD) can equip pastors or anyone to teach/preach about the persecuted church. These kits are excellent for helping to raise awareness in your churches and communities. You might also consider ordering one during the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church for video presentations. The CD includes sample sermons, Sunday school lessons, PowerPoint presentations, three videos on persecution, reference articles, prayer guides, and more. We have done the research and spent the time gathering resources so you can concentrate on raising awareness for your persecuted brothers and sisters around the world.

Ordering. The kit is free for church staff that can receive it at a valid church address. Just call 1-800-422-5441 to order. If you do not work for a church, the cost is $5 for residents of the lower 48 states and $7 for Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada residents. Price already includes shipping.

Electronic Resources

The following materials from ICC are excellent free electronic resources for pastors and churches to raise awareness for the plight of persecuted Christians around the world:

ICC Electronic Newsletter. The e-mail form of our bi-monthly newsletter, Persecution

ICC Press Releases. Cutting edge news on persecution (mainly for journalists and news services, but anyone can sign up)

Weekly News and Prayer for the Persecuted. A once-a-week summary of news items and specific prayer requests for the persecuted.

Sign up for any or all of these resources here.

Request a Speaker

If you would like to request a speaker to make a presentation at your church click here.

Special Speaking Events

Occasionally, members of our staff or volunteers will travel to give presentations on Christian persecution and matters that affect the persecuted church around the world (Islam, specific incidents of violence, etc.). Sometimes we will even have members of the persecuted church speak to share what is happening in their own countries from their own first-hand experience. If you or your church might be interested in attending such presentations, keep your eyes on the space below and we’ll publish all open events.

Other Projects

other projects

ICC is constantly monitoring the state of Christian persecution in countries around the world and looking for ways that we can act as bridge between our supporters and the persecuted church. Beyond the projects you see above, we are working in many other areas to provide practical assistance to our brothers and sisters in Christ. View our other projects page to understand more of our work and keep up to date on our current projects.
