Underground PastorsUnderground pastors in persecuted countries are like the “Special Forces” of the US Army. They have incredible drive, stamina, and they can survive and grow in any environment. However, underground pastors possess one notable difference: these men bring life wherever they go and are willing to sacrifice their own lives for their sake of their flocks. Their lives and spiritual growth are vital for the continued strength and growth of the church in times of persecution. Radical Islamists have killed many Christians in a country in Africa where Muslims are the overwhelming majority. The Islamists have openly declared that one of their goals is to rid the country of Christians. The underground church has survived and even thrived in the midst of such vast persecution. We are able to send missionaries to this dangerous country due to generous gifts from people like you. Your donation has enabled us to send 10 missionaries to work among the Muslims who desperately need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. Recently, four members of a radical Islamic group came to Christ and are now being discipled by our missionaries. Our missionaries risk their lives every day to share the love of Jesus Christ with Muslims. Many Muslims have come to Christ through the work of our missionaries as they they have already established several underground churches and Bible studies.

ICC is constantly monitoring the state of Christian persecution in countries around the world and looking for ways that we can act as bridge between our supporters and the persecuted church. Beyond the projects you see above, we are working in many other areas to provide practical assistance to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
