Underground Pastors

Underground pastors in persecuted countries are like the “Special Forces” of the US Army. They have incredible drive, stamina, and they can survive and grow in any environment. They are crucial to the success of the “mission.”

However, underground pastors possess one notable difference: these men bring life wherever they go. They are completely dedicated to their flocks and are willing to sacrifice even to the point of giving up their lives. Their lives and spiritual growth are vital for the continued strength and stamina of the church in times of persecution.

What they lack is finances. Pastors often work in areas with no established church to support them. Recognizing their need and their necessity, ICC is committed to providing their support as they plant and grow churches in persecuted nations.

$35 supports one of our underground pastors for one month and will result in many other believers coming to Christ. Your gift can be designated to support pastors in Afghanistan, China, Cuba, India, North Korea, or Vietnam.

Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, but your messenger and the one who ministered to my need…Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness and hold such men in esteem; because for the work of Christ he came close to death, not regarding his life, to supply what was lacking in your service toward me. Philippians 2:25, 29-30

ICC is constantly monitoring the state of Christian persecution in countries around the world and looking for ways that we can act as bridge between our supporters and the persecuted church. Beyond the projects you see above, we are working in many other areas to provide practical assistance to our brothers and sisters in Christ. View our other projects page to understand more of our work and keep up to date on our current projects.
