Why We ServeThe BodyWe know that the pain of the persecuted can never be distant from the pain of the Church. We are called to be one as the Body of the Christ, and if we are one, then how can we not hear? And if we hear, then how can we not act? “If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” The Least of TheseThroughout Scripture we are taught to welcome the stranger, speak up for the oppressed, clothe the naked, to give ourselves to all those in need, and above all to care for the family of Christ. "Open your mouth for the mute, Jesus teaches us that this is because what we do for the “least of these” is what we do for Him. Men, women, and children around the world are suffering and many in corrupt governments have none to look to for protection. We can minister to the heart of Christ by reaching our hands out to love and rescue these little ones. We are dedicated to this work because The Lord commands us to help the defenseless, afflicted, and those in prison: Proverbs 24:11, Proverbs 31:8-9, Hebrews 13:3, Matthew 25:35 Persecution: A Natural Result of FaithfulnessWe are dedicated to this work because persecution comes not from believers being troublemakers but from believers following Jesus: Matthew 5:11, Luke 21:11-19, John 15:17-25, Revelation 6:9-11 |
ICC is constantly monitoring the state of Christian persecution in countries around the world and looking for ways that we can act as bridge between our supporters and the persecuted church. Beyond the projects you see above, we are working in many other areas to provide practical assistance to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
