Victims of Attack in India Receive Help from ICC

In June ICC brought you reports of three Christians in Assam, India who were brutally beaten by a mob of Hindu radicals. The mob then turned on other Christian families in the village, destroying their homes and stealing their belongings, including their precious livestock. In all, seven families were affected and lost everything. ICC has begun work on a project that will rebuild and repair the homes of the seven families, as well as replace their stolen belongings. They will not only have their livestock replaced, but are also being financed to start small businesses, which will provide a sustainable income. When the families were told about the help they would receive, they were overwhelmed with gratitude and said, "We have never thought to receive help from so far, from those whom we never saw." We told them that it is the love of Christ which has united us all.

ICC is constantly monitoring the state of Christian persecution in countries around the world and looking for ways that we can act as bridge between our supporters and the persecuted church. Beyond the projects you see above, we are working in many other areas to provide practical assistance to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
