Christian Persecution in Nigeria

"The Nigerian government, both at the state and federal levels, has failed to contain Islamic extremist violence against Christian minorities in the North. If the government continues to turn a blind eye to this violence, the North will become an incubator of radical Islamic ideologies that will naturally result in continued persecution against Christians and, in turn, will pose a threat to peace in Nigeria and beyond." The country of Nigeria needs our prayers. Pray that Nigerian Christians, especially those in Northern Nigeria, are strengthened by God to stand up for their faith in the face of this persecution. Pray that the government begins cracking down on the actions of radical groups in the country. And pray that God softens the hearts of persecutors in Nigeria.

ICC is constantly monitoring the state of Christian persecution in countries around the world and looking for ways that we can act as bridge between our supporters and the persecuted church. Beyond the projects you see above, we are working in many other areas to provide practical assistance to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
