The arrest of 10 members of a home fellowship in pakdasht – varamin

A ‘house church’ service in Pakdasht, Iran was interrupted when security officers entered the meeting and arrested everyone caught in the act of worshipping. Since, most have been released, but Mohammad Mohammadi and Ali Keshavarz are still being held in Khorin prison.

12/17/2010 Iran (Mohabat News) – A group of local Christians, who had gathered together to worship and study the word of God, got arrested by the security officers who entering the house, seized every member of the fellowship.

According to the reports of the Iranian Christian News Agency (Mohabat news), on Sunday 14th of November, 2010, the security officers of the city of Varamin – Pakdasht, entering to the meeting held in a home, arrested all the worshipers in that place.

As stated by the latest report, the security officers entered the residence of Mr. Mohammadi and arrested every local Christian of the city who were actually in the act of worshiping and group bible studying.

Based on this, the number of people who were arrested together with Mr. Mohammad Mohammadi including his wife, children and some Christian friends who were also present in this gathering.

After entering the home, the security officers started searching every room. They confiscated and took a few bibles, Christian literature and personal computer belonging to Mr. Mohammadi with themselves.

According to “Mohabat news”, the security officers, first took all the arrested who were Persian speaking Christian to the intelligence office in Pakdasht where they were interrogated severely for long hours. Next they were transferred to the local ministry justice were they spend few days in the un-decisive state.

Two of these believers are Mohammad Mohammadi, age 32, and Ali Keshavarz, age 27, who were kept arrested and sent to” Khorin prison”.
