We hope he uses this as an opportunity to speak out for persecuted, minority Christians in Egypt.”

A Muslim rebel leader has admitted that fighting between Muslim rebel groups and the Philippine government is no longer isolated. Last August, rogue MILF members attacked Christian-majority towns when a peace deal fell through - nearly 600 people have been killed since then.

Abu Sayyaf has released three teachers who were kidnapped in the southern Philippines in late January. Their release is a relief after the same group beheaded a Christian farmer earlier this month.

Please continue to pray for detained Chinese Christian Alimujiang - government sources have informed his mother that the Public Security Bureau is secretly planning to sentence her son to three years of re-education through labor. Because the Kashi PSB originally filed the case, they have the authority to make the decision independent of court approval.

The Saudi Arabia’s initiative to champion interfaith dialogue is a welcome development. But Saudi Arabia must also respect the freedom of religion in its own territory. The Kingdom has not yet allowed for construction of churches though it’s the main sponsor for construction of mosques throughout the world.
