A loophole in Laos' constituion supposedly protecting the freedom of religion allows for Christians to be persecuted as the government deems their worship services, gatherings, burial, marriages, and prayer as not "beneficial to the country."

ChinaAid reports that imprisoned Uyghur Christian Alimujiang Yimiti was finally allowed to meet with his attorney last week. The attorney, Li Dunyong, has petitioned the People's Prosecutor after witnesses spotted Alimujiang being escorted to a hospital at the end of March.
