A 55-year-old priest, Father Paul Ma, was arrested recently for celebrating the Eucharist with underground parishioners. Many are concerned for his fate as he struggles with a heart condition. The Chinese government is continuing to crack down on underground churches, and is even increasing pressure on members of the official church.
