Pastor Holed Up and Threatened to be Burnt Alive in Heseraghatta, Bangalore

Global Council of Indian Christians

6/8/07 India (Persecution Update India) – Pastor Lakshmi Narayan Gowda was holed up by radicals at his house church in Hesraghatta, near Jalahalli, the immediate suburb of Bangalore city, today at 6.30pm (8th June 07). A crowd of 150 Sangh Parivar activists bussed from different parts of the city suburbs have gathered outside the house of Pastor Lakshmi Narayan with kerosene cans and burnt a part of the house.

The murderous crowd is threatening to burn pastor Lakshmi Narayan alive.

Lakshmi Narayan is liked by all for his transformation from his life as an unruly teenager to a responsible person in his love and gentle manners. The Pastor has been confined to his room with the door locked up for more than 2 hours.

GCIC has alerted senior officers to save the life of Pastor and police arrived from sole Devanahalli police station. The radicals, noticing the arrival of police, have rained blows with hand, stick and brick. Pastor is suffering from the assault. Thank God for saving co-ordinator of GCIC from the diabolic agenda of the radicals.
